About Pawn Shops Map

Pawn Shops Map is an independent guide to pawn shops and pawn loan costs in the United States. It is not a pawn shop or a lender, and it is not affiliated with any pawn shop, pawn chain, trade association or state regulator. Nobody pays to be listed.

Where the data comes from

  • Pawn shops. 2,205 shops in 139 cities, from public business listings (name, address, phone, website, coordinates and opening hours), checked on November 5, 2026. We publish only businesses listed in the pawn shop category, and we do not copy reviews or ratings.
  • Licenses. Where a state publishes its list of licensed pawnbrokers (Texas OCCC, Oklahoma, Ohio, Louisiana, Oregon and Mississippi), we match each shop by street address. 734 shops match and are marked state-licensed, with a link to the list.
  • State pawn laws. Maximum charges, loan terms, grace periods, holding periods and ID rules come from state statutes and regulator publications. Each state page cites its sources and the date we checked them.
  • Gold prices. The gold calculator shows a dated reference spot price from a public quote and lets you enter the current price.

How we check

  • A rule we could not verify is shown as "not verified", never as zero or unlimited.
  • A day without published hours is shown as not listed. Open-now status is computed in your browser with the shop's local time.
  • Calculators show legal maximums. A shop can charge less, and your pawn ticket sets the real terms.
  • We review listings and state rules regularly and correct errors reported to us.

Who we are

The site is edited by Agustín Mendez (Pinamar, Argentina). AI tools help with drafting and data processing; listings and state rules are checked against their sources before publishing.
